2010 Houston Power League

Last updated February 4 -
weekend #2 info, playing site info updated

Once the schedule is posted you must check back noon Friday for any changes .  This year, AES has added a “Notes” section for each event and this is where you can see what has been updated.

Instructions:

  • Go to www.advancedeventsystems.com

  • Select “Schedules/Results”

  • Select Houston Power League (if it isn’t showing that is because it is not yet available)

  • Select “Notes” – it is in the red highlighted area

NEW TOURNAMENT FORMAT FOR 2010….

This year we are trying out a different format.  The majority of teams will no longer be in pools – it will be bracket play throughout the series.  The tournament does not start with a seeding process that has been typical in the past where if you are seeded #1 you would play seed #48 the first weekend.  #1 will be in a bracket with #2- #8 and so on.  3 will move up and 3 will move down each weekend from the brackets.  This is an effort to have a more competitive format for all teams.

Given that it is no longer pool play – you need to print your schedule from AES because two brackets may be played on  4 courts intertwined; and others may be 1 bracket on 2 courts.  You really need to pay attention to officiating schedule as well.  Ask your court manager if you have questions.

Club Directors - if you have not been receiving tournament emails, please make sure your correct email address is in AES.

Parents - please go through your club director for any tournament questions.
